  3. Toy wooden horse pull on wooden platform with 4 metal wheels. Horse's tail appears to be made of horse hair. Ears are missing with nubs of possible leather. Measures 11.5" tall, including base and wheels. Measures 13" from nose tip to end of tail. Wooden horse and wagon (2021.053.001) belonged to Joe Witterstetter, born 1894. Stored in the attic of his brother, R. C. Witterstaetter's house on 643 Covedale Avenue. - 2021.053.001

Cenered between them is "'76" Two pins are of the official US Revolution Bicentennial logo and one is a ribbon featuring a blue canton with white stars and red and white stripes.   9. Painting of "Grandmother Fearnley," age 77, done in 1842 in England. Painting is in a gold wooden 27" x 34.5" frame. More information about this painting is found in a book titled: Sentimental Journey: Discovering the Families of My Great Grandparents, by Richard W. Butler, Jr., copyright 2020, on page 101 - 106, accession #: 2022.008.001 in the Zadock Mayhew Collection. On the painting, there is some damage: a 1.5" slit at the top center. Also at lower right corner, there is a small tear in the canvas. - 2022.008.005

  10. Clothing items were displayed by Harriet B. Mayhew Fearnley in an exhibit in 1919 at the Elberon Presbyterian Church in Price Hill. Many items have handwritten labels pinned to the fabric. This hat is made of tan felt, round. The label indicates it was worn by Mrs. Fearnley's brother, Alfred Warren. At the time of exhibit in 1919, it was 57 years old. - 2022.008.007

  11. Clothing items were displayed by Harriet B. Mayhew Fearnley in an exhibit in 1919 at the Elberon Presbyterian Church in Price Hill. Many items have handwritten labels pinned to the fabric. This is part of a wedding gown's waist (bodice and jacket) of Mrs. Medora Shaw Mayhew, married October 31, 1858. Note says that a very full gathererd skirt (not in this collection) was worn with this. Note also indicated these items were 118 years old. - 2022.008.008

A note is attached to this baby hat worn by Harry S. Fearnley, Jr. at the age of 9 months. It is cream colored and has ties. - 2022.008.009

This item is a small brown coat or jacket with scallops around the edges. There is a heart shaped closure at the neck. Note says that coat was worn by Mrs. Fearnley's brother, Alfred Warren, who died at age 3 in 1863. At the time of exhibit, coat was 57 years old. - 2022.008.012

  14. Clothing items were displayed by Harriet B. Mayhew Fearnley in an exhibit in 1919 at the Elberon Presbyterian Church in Price Hill. Many items have handwritten labels pinned to the fabric. These shoes have a note attached that says they were 43 years old in 1919. Worn by Mrs. Harry Fearnley. They are tan leather, stuffed with tissue. Left shoe has a metal buckle but the right does not. They each have a strap that fastens at the ankle. - 2022.008.014

  15. Paper dinner napkin customized for Molitor Loan & Building Co. Includes address of its locations: 2830 Vine St, in Corryville and 633 Anderson Ferry Rd, Delhi. The Anderson Ferry Rd site has subsquently been the home of several other financial insitutions. On the back of the napkin, written in ink, are the names of fourteen people, including Rudy Kusar, Leroy Rutenschroer, Harry Selhorst, George Lauderbach. - 2022.009.001

  16. Coins and other small metal objects recovered from the ground at 5361 Rapid Run Road 9/17/2021 and 9/20/2021 by Roger Dittelberger at the request of Delhi Historical Society. House there was determined to be the former Hazard School and later the Allen School (which closed in 1922). Coins include a 1916 Lincoln head penny and a 1943 Mercury dime. Nothing older. Other items include a metal toy car, a "clapper" from wind chimes, and unidentified buckles and clasps. - 2022.015.001

  17. Manufactured by the Theodore Kundtz Company, Cleveland, Ohio. This is model #201, as seen in an advertisement. Kundtz immigrated from Hungary and operated his company as a sole proprietorship from 1878 until it was incorporated in 1915. The White Sewing Machine Company bought the company in 1925. The company grew into an industrial giant, making sewing machine cabinets, bicycle wheels, church and school furniture, and auto and truck bodies. - 2022.016.001

  18. Women's garrison cap with Disabled American Veterans patch sewn onto the navy blue fabric. It has golden piping around the cap with the letters, "D.A.V." embroidered in gold thread at the front. Also attached is a DAV gold metal pin, approximately 1" x 0.5". Cap is folded and measures 11" in length. Cap was worn by Ruth Zieverink, born in Iowa in 1922, died in Delhi, Ohio in 2012. Ruth was a surgical technician in the US Army during World War II. - 2022.033.001

  19. Ladies Auxiliary VFW khaki garrison cap with brown piping and sewn on patch. Embroidered "4872" and "Past President Ohio" in brown thread. Also attached are 2 VFW pins, one with a gavel, one with 2 crossed feathers, and a 6 point gold star. Cap measures 11 " folded. Cap was worn by Ruth Zieverink, born in Iowa in 1922, died in Delhi, Ohio in 2012. Ruth was a surgical technician in the US Army during World War II. - 2022.033.002

Also attached is a "Ruptured Duck" pin indicating honorable discharge. Cap was worn by Ruth Zieverink, born in Iowa in 1922, died in Delhi, Ohio in 2012.
